The OWLS Adventure Learning Center located in Virginia and Montana is the leader in resort based adventure activities.  Our hand-picked certified instructors will help you get to the next level whether you are a beginner, a seasoned veteran looking to put a few new tools in your toolbox, or any skill level in-between.  We offer the highest quality instruction for rock climbing, ice climbing, caving, kayaking, mountain biking, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, backpacking, and mountaineering.

These programs are resort based at Wintergreen and the Boars Head, Virginia - Killington, Vermont - and Big Sky, Montana. Our classes are also available throughout the Mid Atlantic and North East including, Maryland, New Hampshire, West Virginia, and even Wyoming.

We focus on delivering high quality, professional, up scale programs from the Washington DC, Boston, New York, Richmond, and Tidewater areas. Our Programs are forest service permitted in the Blue Ridge Mountains, White Mountains, and Gallatin National Forest around Yellowstone National Park.

All of our instructors are Nationally Certified and even ACA and AMGA trained.

OWLS Guide School:

The Outdoor Wilderness Leadership School has been a pioneer in the outdoor industry since 1998. Over this time we have seen a great void in the industry for developing highly trained guides. Therefore, OWLS has launched a guide school more comprehensive than anything in the market today.

We will be committed to developing and training the leadership in the outdoor education industry and will be offering nationally recognized certifications. This is where you need to start if you want a job with companies like; NOLS, Outward Bound, OARS, and all other outdoor education companies.

These programs will be available for college credit and will include detailed curriculum in: Wilderness Leadership, Decision Making, AMGA Top Rope Site Manager, ACA Swift Water Rescue, Avalanche 1 & 2, Ski Mountaineering, Wilderness First Responder, and others.
