Outdoor Wilderness Leadership School's Guide Programs

At the Outdoor Wilderness Leadership School we are committed to developing and training the leadership in the outdoor education industry and offer nationally recognized certifications. In 2008 we will be offering 2 American Mountain Guide Association Top Rope Site Manager Courses with Jim Taylor and a Wilderness First Responder Course with CPR in Montana with Nadia Kimmel. This is where you need to start if you want a job with companies like; Outward Bound, NOLS, OARS, and other outdoor education companies.

UP-COMMING COURSES:

• ROCK CLIMBING CLINICS, Virginia By Two Week Advanced Reservation Year Round!
• 2 AMGA Top Rope Site Manager Courses June and July 2008
• Wilderness First Responder Course May 13-20, 2008

These programs will be available for college credit and will include detailed curriculum in: Wilderness Leadership, Decision Making, AMGA Top Rope Site Manager, ACA Swift Water Rescue, Avalanche 1 & 2, Ski Mountaineering, Wilderness First Responder, and others.

The Outdoor Wilderness Leadership School’s Adventure Learning Center will continue to offer: Rock Climbing, Caving, Kayaking, Snow Shoeing, Cross Country Skiing, and Backpacking courses. These programs are all taught by instructors, guides and facilitators who are experts in their field of adventure recreation.
